I want to take a moment to thank someone who has done more for independent podcasting than most people realize: Frank Racioppi.
Frank is one of those rare voices in the podcasting world who doesn’t just talk about supporting indie creators—he actually does the work. He listens. He encourages. He challenges. And most importantly, he amplifies the voices of those of us building something from the ground up.
Thanks in part to his efforts and advocacy, The Best 5 Minute Wine Podcast was nominated for Best Short-Form Podcast in the 2025 Ear Worthy Awards—and I couldn’t be more honored. Recognition like this means a lot, especially when you’re putting in long hours behind a mic, often with a small team (or in my case, just me and a glass of wine).
Frank’s passion, professionalism, and unshakable belief in the value of indie storytelling is something we should all raise a glass to. He doesn’t just make noise—he makes meaning.
